Sitting position: Infant-toddlers should remain in a rear facing car seat until

car seat.
Car Seat restraints: It is suggested to go for toddler car seat with a five-point

Are the comfortable?: Ensure tha the toddler will enjoy a more comfortable ride. Buy a well-padded seat with plenty of head and back support. Also, make sure he can move his arms freely.
Washability: Buy car seats which are detachable and are machine-washable instead of seats with pad covers that can't be taken off! You know toddlers and messes go hand in hand.
Car seat movability: Ensure that the car seats does not move more than an inch in any direction. See your car seat's owners manual to determine what can be done about it, if they move more than that.
