Toddler Spring Activities
Planting Time!
Get child size shovels, flowerpots, flower seeds, and bottles filled with water. Let toddlers put dirt into the flowerpots, plant some seeds, and water the dirt. Have toddlers put their flowerpots in a window and then check on the progress daily. When the plant is grown it makes a great gift!
Easy Windsocks
Cut the bottom off of a lunch sized paper bag and decorate with crayons, glue and glitter, stickers, markers etc. Make a handle from construction paper. Tape crepe paper streamers or ribbons around the end of the bag to make a pretty windsock.
Duck Feet to Follow
Get some yellow paint and using spatulas, make duck feet prints on paper. If you use a large sheet of butcher size paper, you can make a mural and hang it up. Also, another fun idea is to put the feet prints on the side walk if you use tempra paint. Toddlers will love singing duck theme songs while doingt his activity.
Playing in the Dirt
Take your toddlers outside! Spread paper on the grass and put dirt on it. Give toddlers magnifying glasses to look closely at the dirt.
Handprint Flowers
Have toddlers put their open hand in green tempra paint and then place on white construction paper. This will be the base and stems of their flowers. You can cut out tulip or daisy shapes from construction paper and have toddlers glue the flowers on the top of the stems when the paint dries. Add green construction paper leaves too.
